Peacefully in his sleep in hospital on 24th March aged 87 years. Joseph William (Joe). Beloved husband of the late Doreen, who he deeply missed, dearly loved Dad of John and Doreen and Father in law of Alan and Marjorie. Devoted Granddad of Joe and Julie Ann and spouses Fiona and Kevin. Loving and extremely proud Great Granddad of Will, Emily, Jessica, Ewan, Toby and Olivia who he loved to see. Joe will be remembered by many as Concert Chairman of The Union Jack Club, Throckley where he served enthusiastically for almost 30 years, taking a great interest in all Club matters and made many lasting friends. Will friends please meet for Funeral Service at West Road Crematorium on Friday 7th April at 2.15 pm. Afterwards all are welcomed back to the Union Jack Club, Throckley for refreshments and to celebrate Joe’s life. There will be a collection plate at the Crematorium and Club for donations to Childrens Diabetes research, a cause close to the heart’s of the family. No flowers please at Joe’s request.
